My 2026 ride dedication
On Saturday, October 3, 2026, I'm participating in Ride for Cancer for the third time.
But this ride has deeper meaning than either of my previous ones – I'm dedicating my ride this year to my aunt who was diagnosed with glioblastoma earlier this year.
So I'm fighting for her.
I've also witnessed first-hand the impact that cancer has on a person's loved ones – their families, friends, and community.
So I'm fighting for them.
And I know that we have work to do to strengthen every stage of the care journey: earlier diagnosis, targeted treatment, and smarter prevention.
Nova Scotia has the highest cancer rate in all of Canada: 1 in 2.
So I'm fighting for us.
