I’m facing the fight against cancer!

On Saturday, September 23, 2023, I’m participating alongside a community with one common goal: to transform local cancer care at the QEII Health Sciences Centre.
This year, we’re going to be bolder than ever before…our BMO Ride for Cancer community is all in! With your support, we’ll establish Atlantic Canada’s first-ever CAR-T therapy lab; a state-of-the-art space dedicated to genetically modifying a patient’s own immune cells (T-cells) to fight their cancer with unparalleled personalization and accuracy.
This revolutionary and lifesaving immunotherapy is a final lifeline and potential cure for certain blood cancer patients who’ve tried all other treatment options.
Benefits include faster treatment times, minimizing disruption to families’ lives, more clinical trials, and, most importantly, offering a potentially lifesaving treatment option to certain blood cancer patients who otherwise would not survive.
