I'm riding to help change cancer care, right here at home

Nova Scotia has the highest cancer rates in all of Canada. I’m still young, but even I know cancer impacts way too many people we love. 

That’s why I’m riding in the 12th annual BMO Ride for Cancer youth ride to support patients and families at the QEII Health Sciences Centre…and I need your help to make a real impact! 

In 2026, money raised by BMO Ride for Cancer will help improve care for every step of the cancer journey. That means earlier diagnosis, more targeted treatment, better support between appointments and tools that can help detect cancer coming back — sooner. 

Pretty incredible, right? But I can’t do it without you!  

With every dollar you donate to my Ride, together we’ll help change and save the lives of cancer patients right here in Nova Scotia.

Why I'm Riding with My Nanny

Hi! My name is Kane, and I'm 7 years old.

This year, I'm riding in the BMO Ride for Cancer with my Nanny.

I love riding my bike with my Nanny, so we're doing this ride together to help raise money so doctors can learn more about cancer and help people get better.

I want to make a difference for people and families who are going through cancer. Even though I'm only 7, I know that helping others is important, and I want to help.

I'm excited to ride with Nanny and help people at the same time. Every donation helps support cancer research and gives hope to families who need it.
