I'm on a mission to support those facing cancer

On Oct. 18th, I will take part in the BMO Ride For Cancer by doing the 100km road ride. Since 2015, this event has raised over $13 million all because of the support for riders , from friends and family, like you 🫶🏻. You have helped me to raise $13,479.20 since 2020 therefore contributing to the advancements in many areas of this disease. 

Cancer does not discriminate as we all have our stories. Personally, I lost both parents to cancer at very early ages (50 and 56) ,friends and other family members. My sister has had Lymphoma twice but has been cancer-free twice as well! We are more than grateful for this healing and definitely see a difference in cancer diagnosis, treatments and care now in comparison to 32yrs ago. Others I know are facing a cancer diagnosis and may their story be one of healing also 🫶🏻. To those who have lost loved ones despite advancements, my heart goes out to you- hugs. 

Events such as this ride, raise the funds needed to make such positive improvements across the board. Every year, there is a goal for the funds raised and this year’s funds will unlock more precise, targeted therapies that have fewer side effects and allow for earlier detection of cancer recurrence for patients being treated at the QEII Cancer Centre; Atlantic Canada’s largest and most specialized cancer treatment hospital.
