In 2022, BMO Ride for Cancer is back and stronger than ever. With a record-breaking 1,400 Riders registered to take on the fight against cancer, we need a committed crew of volunteers to help make the BMO Ride day magic happen. As a member of our Volunteer Crew, proudly sponsored by Atlantic Lottery, you are playing an important role in an epic event that helps ensure cancer patients in our region have the best treatment options available, right here at home. Join our fight against cancer and register as a Volunteer Crew member today!

Our Volunteer Crew will join us for an unforgettable experience and be a part of the behind-the-scenes action of Atlantic Canada’s largest cycling fundraising event. As part of our Volunteer Crew, we will provide you with an official Volunteer Crew long-sleeve shirt, event day meals, and snacks. With many volunteer positions available, everyone can play an important role and help make a real impact on cancer care for Atlantic Canadians.

All volunteers are required to attend a brief orientation session leading up to the event. We want to set you up for success in your volunteer role and your epic journey with us.

Volunteer Opportunities

As part of our PIT STOP CREW,  you will be positioned along the road or trail route. Pit stops are designed for riders to stop for a hydration break, grab a snack to go, have lunch, use the restroom, or to request other support. Your primary role will be to help support our riders in these areas as they stop on their way through and cheer them on along the way! It's important to note that these roles are located anywhere from Halifax to East River.

As part of our LOGISTICS CREW, you will contribute to the overall management of the event, ensuring everyone has a great experience and arrives safely at the finish line. Your role could include set-up, parking management, wayfinding support, start/finish line prep and execution, photo booth coordination, and medal distribution. You’ll help ensure the event runs smoothly from start to finish. It's important to note that these roles are primarily stationed at our start/finish line location in Bayers Lake.

Volunteer sign-up for 2022 is now closed.
Thank you for your interest.

We are pleased to welcome Atlantic Lottery as our Official Volunteer Sponsor. Atlantic Lottery is proud to support causes and events that make a positive impact on communities across Atlantic Canada — and are thrilled to support our Volunteer Crew this year.
