I’m facing the fight against cancer.
Did you know that there are over 200 different types of cancer? And even among those different types, no two tumors or diagnoses are exactly alike. With 1 in 2 Atlantic Canadians facing a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, now more than ever, it is time to identify the most targeted and effective treatments for cancer patients at the QEII Health Sciences Centre.
On Saturday, October 2, 2021, I’m riding alongside a community with one common goal: to transform cancer care, here at home — by ensuring the QEII's cancer centre has the best treatment options available.
With your support, we will be one step closer to introducing new state-of-the-art genetic sequencing technology at the QEII, to analyze the genes of thousands of tumour samples each year. Better outcomes, fewer side effects, access to a new therapy or clinical trial are all benefits this technology brings to cancer patients, here at home. It can even spare patients from unnecessary treatments. This is a game-changer for those patients facing late-stage cancers.
We’ve all been touched by cancer and when you support my ride, you are funding the fight against cancer for Atlantic Canadians today and for future generations.

Reached my fundraising goal!
Why I rideThis year I have joined the Ride for Cancer not only to challenge myself physically but to support a cause that stays within Atlantic Canada! I am not an avid biker but want to help create a platform for others to donate towards the goals of transforming cancer treatments on our own doorsteps.
This year I ride for my for grandmother who has started her own battle with cancer in recent months.
This year please join me in my ride for cancer and support this great cause. If you cannot support at this time I hope you can look at how you can give back in the future!
