I'm on a mission to support those facing cancer, myself included!

Hard to believe that the Ride for Cancer is coming to an end.  It has been a huge part of my life for the last 12 years - that's how long I have been a cancer patient.  When I was first diagnosed in 2014, I had no idea the impact this ride would have on my own care and treatment here in Halifax.  

I am grateful for all the people who have supported this ride and the QEII Foundation.  It is because of this funding that I am still able to ride in 2026!!!!  I also want to recognize those who are no longer with us, and for that reason we need more funding to find better and more effective treatments. 

This will be my fifth and final ride with the Ride for Cancer.  I am looking forward to riding with my sister, and feeling the love and support of this whole community along the trail, and especially at the finish line. 

Personal shout out to my amazing care team - Dr. Biddulph, Dr. Shivakumar and Kaitlyn who've had to deal with "the worst patient in the world" for the past 12 years.
