I'm on a mission to support those facing cancer in Atlantic Canada.

Cancer has deeply affected my life and the lives of so many I love. Recently, my Nana, Anne Smith, was diagnosed, and while her time with us is now limited, her strength, resilience, and unconditional love continue to inspire me every day.

I’m also riding for the countless others in my life who have faced cancer — including my mom, my uncle Tim, and in honour of my late grandfather, Laurence Simpson, whom I never had the chance to meet.

This September, I’m taking part in the 11th annual BMO Ride for Cancer because this cause is personal. With 1 in 2 Nova Scotians expected to be diagnosed in their lifetime, we all know someone affected — and that’s why we must keep pushing for better care, earlier detection, and more precise, targeted treatment options.

Funds raised by our 2025 BMO Ride for Cancer community will unlock more precise, targeted therapies that have fewer side effects and allow for earlier detection of cancer recurrence for patients being treated at the QEII Cancer Centre; Atlantic Canada’s largest and most specialized cancer treatment hospital

Please consider supporting my Ride. I’m riding for my family, for your family, and for every person facing cancer with courage. Every donation brings us one step closer to a future where more lives are saved — and more time is given.
